NO BUDGET FILM SCHOOL PRESENTS:
"THE ART & SCIENCE OF NO-BUDGET FILMMAKING"
A Two-Day No-Budget Filmmaking Immersion
May 30 & 31, 2009
Raleigh Studios - Los Angeles, CA

Join producer Mark Stolaroff and guest experts in this in-depth, one-of-a-kind class.  Stolaroff has distilled what he's learned from over 15 years in the trenches of no-budget independent filmmaking and put it in to No Budget Film School.  The goal of this class is to provide extremely practical information to filmmakers who are ready to finance and produce their own features.  Attendees will walk away with powerful ideas that they can use immediately, saving them time and money, and preventing fatal mistakes that could doom otherwise worthy projects.

-  LEARN cutting edge techniques and how to choose the latest digital cameras and software

 -  HEAR no-budget professionals offer first-hand knowledge of production, post production, marketing, and distribution

 -  EXAMINE a budget line-by-line and discover where and how to spend money (and, more importantly, not spend money)--whether your budget is $200,000 or $2,000

 -  SEE clips from micro-budget films illustrating the tricks-of-the-trade used by resourceful filmmakers

GUEST SPEAKERS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR:

 - Peter Broderick, President, Paradigm Consulting. Considered the leading authority on alternative distribution strategy

     - Jay Duplass, Director. "The Puffy Chair" made for $15k; premiered at 2005 Sundance and released theatrically.  No-budget follow-up "Baghead" premiered at 2008 Sundance and released by Sony Pictures Classics. Currently directing film for Fox Searchlight starring Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill & Catherine Keener

    - Alex Holdridge, Director. "In Search Of A Midnight Kiss" made for $15k; released theatrically by IFC Films and won the coveted Cassevetes Award at 2009 Spirit Awards, given to best feature made for under $500k

   - Matt Radecki, Producer; Founder, Different By Design. Has produced numerous low-budget features and runs post house that caters to indie filmmakers

Additional speakers to be announced.
